Description

Dedicated to perfumes and aromatic plants, the factory Fabrique des Fleurs is surrounded by a beautiful garden of perfume plants. At the gateway to Grasse, this contemporary factory, inaugurated in 1986, is equipped with state-of-the-art machines for the manufacture and packaging of Fragonard’s products. Visit the laboratories and packaging rooms to discover the secrets and the know-how of the perfumery.

After the factory visit of 30 minutes, we invite you to unveil the history, the origin, the culture of this very special flower and the way it is used in perfumery. A moment of sensory and olfactory memory development with the explanation of the olfactory pyramid, the recognition of 3 blended compositions that enter into the Flower of the Year eau de toilette. During the workshop, you will create and customize, following the advices of our teacher, your own Eau de Toilette (12 ml in a spray).

During our visit at Fragonard we got a cool and informative visit to the grasse facility, a short tour and a fun workshop where we made an edt using three bottles with some fun guidance from the staff.

Delightful, but felt rushed

I felt that the tour was rushed. I wish there was more teaching about the process. Then, during the workshop, I wish there as more technical teaching. The interpretation of scents was a great lesson, but it didn’t leave me with much to imagine when we were limited to already prepared cocktail of ingredients. The pressure to buy parfum at the end was also very strong.

The whole event was wonderful! Our host was knowledgeable/fun & the size of the group was just right ! I would recommend booking this event to make sure you can enjoy the experience & also visiting the museum in the village too .

Wrong facility

This workshop is probably great, but since we went to the wrong facility, the Fragonard MUSEUM in Grasse, we couldn't experience it. However, we got no help from the lady in the reception of the museum. When we asked her to call a taxi for us, she refused and just directed us to a taxi station that had no taxis. Of course, it was our responsibility to find the right address, but since it's still the same company, Fragonard, I think that you should have been able to expect some willingness to help.

Our mini perfume making workshop was absolutely brilliant! We began with a short tour of the factory and Sophie, our guide, was really interesting and informative. The workshop was fun and Sophie helped us out with words of advice and encouragement. We finished in the (extensive) shop where she introduced us to lots and lots of perfumes - I defy anyone to not spend money here!!! I have to give Sophie a special mention as she made the day so special! Not only was she knowledgeable and interesting, she also helped us out with information on the local bus service. I wanted to put her in my pocket and take her home!!

Interesting and Fun!

My husband, my two teenage daughters and I did the tour/workshop. I’m not really into perfume but thought the family would enjoy doing something new and different. I was surprised at how interesting the whole perfume-making process is and how much fun I was having. Our guide was great! Making our own perfume in the workshop was a fun and unique experience. All 4 of us had a blast and my oldest daughter discovered an interest in perfume! I highly recommend!

A Good Experience

I enjoyed the mini perfume workshop but it could’ve been better. It was the first one I attended so I didn’t have anything to compare it to. I did like the factory tour. I’ve since attended others so in hindsight, I would’ve liked to not feel rushed or like I was being watched the entire time. I would’ve liked more essences to work with. I also would’ve liked to create an eau de parfum instead of an eau de toilette. I felt like I was being given a sales pitch at the end and that I was expected to purchase items. There are other workshops I would recommend before this one.

I did the workshop with my daughter and we both liked it. We both did find the time to make the parfume a little too short. We do understand that it is a mini workshop, however we would have prefered a little more time to try out adding the different notes.

I liked mini workshop a lot but I didnt know that the factory is out of town! I didnt know how to get there firstly. I also missed all the workshop. I highly recommend you to write exact instructions for people- how to get to your place without your own car.
