The Molinard building and grounds are beautiful and the concept of the one hour class is great. The execution of the class was not as good as we had expected. There was drilling/construction being done right behind the wall, making the overall experience negative given the fact that we paid a lot of money for this experience and it was noisy throughout our class. I would have expected that construction be done while there was an empty studio. Our instructor was polite, but the class size was 13 people total (2 groups of 5 and 1 group of 3). She would explain in French, then very limited in English. She seemed stretched too thin for what was necessary. It became frustrating, because we had to constantly ask for her to come over, because she spent the majority of her time with the other two tables. It was actually my daughters birthday, so I felt bad that we were irritated. Overall it was okay, but could have been a much better experience.

This one hour workshop was a definite highlight on my trip to the French Riviera. There was only two couples attending the workshop (me and my husband and one other couple from Switzerland) so it felt private and extra special. We did pick a weekday class at the end of October. It was such an interesting experience to sample up 90 essences and finally have the "nose" do her magic to help you create your one of a kind scent! We had such a wonderful time and we would recommend it to anyone. The perfumery was also much less crowded and commercialized compared to Fragonard creating a much more intimate experience. 5 stars all around!

Amazing experience, we both came away with excellent perfumes. The instructor was helpful and friendly and time went extremely quickly. It was difficult to get to smell all the scents within the time and with numerous others at our table so perhaps the sessions could be extended a little in future. However the whole experience was fantastic and we would definitely do it again.

I really loved this workshop. There were plenty of scents to choose from. With creating your own scent, the guidance was amazing. The wolan let you choose the aroma's and when you were finished, she told you if it would work or what aroma's you needed to leave behind. Just amazing and I love to have made my own signature scent

It's the second time we did this, very interesting thing to do. First time we did it (2019), the facilitator was more interactive as we worked out our notes, this time the facilitator really just managed our time during this stage, however, he was very helpful at the end tweaking our choices. Really easy to book. Highly recommend this adventure to anyone, a truly different and highly enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours and bring something different home from your holidays!

I was expecting a more thorough insight into perfume making. However, all we received was a pyramid displaying the top, middle and bottom notes of perfume introduced to us in a quiet voice I could barely hear, and my hearing is excellent. Then a mad rush to smell the different scents to place in our perfume. Left to ones own devices I ended up with a perfume I was not very happy with. Maybe as you are sniffing away the speaker could suggest to everyone what ensures a balanced perfume rather than selecting a few people to endow their time and expertise upon. My suggestion before doing this workshop is to do your own investigation into perfumes that you like and follow their selected notes. Would I recommend. Yes, if only to have the opportunity to smell 90 different essences in an 15 minutes before constructing your perfume.

The couch was alone to serve many people, he got stressd and visibly nervous with our questions. We had to choose the franganies for the 3 levels of our perfumes, and if the bottles would be separated by aroma groups: citrus, sweet and so on, we could make the choices easier. (marked with colors// green for this, read for that ... ) We got with the time tired, in the end I wanted to balance my strong perfume and unintentionally added too many drops of vanilla and didn't have chance to redo it, maybe in just 5 min I could adapt it.

My teen daughters and I created fabulous and unique perfumes aided by Lisa who spoke excellent English (thank you!) and who had an impressive skill level on scent making. This was a fascinating tutorial on how scents are created, and on the massive number of potential scents for any concoction. The tour was interesting too although it is in French with audio aids for English speakers — which was limiting but still appreciated. We will try to brush up on our French for next time!

Booking was fine, via Internet, no problem. But whene there, things are, from my perspective, a bit unorganised. I had to explan severel times, why I was there, before anything happened. Also when there, I expected some explanations for everyone on parfume making in the atelier, but had to wait quite some time for someone to come to me. And everything was quick, no explanations, what esencies go together, what not, and most important, why. The guy explaining was, nevertheless, kind and professional with knowledge about parfumes. So at the end I made my parfume. I would recoment the offer, but would explain at the same time, not to expext too much.

I liked the workshop teacher (Paola) and her approach to explaining the steps of making one’s perfume. All worked like a charm, had enough time to smell and choose. Then followed by the proper dosing and self pouring them with small tubes in one’s own perfume bottle. The surprise is that I came out with a perfume that I probably would not buy if I were to smell it in the store. But I absolutely love it and wear it daily since just because I know it could not have been a better fragrance for me than this one.

This was our second workshop that we have taken at Molinard. As before, the facilitator talked us through the process and then gave us clear instructions as to how to build up our perfume. She was always available to help and regularly checked at various stages to ensure we were on the right track with helpful suggestions. I think this workshop was better this time as my daughters are now a few years older - 14 and 15 years old - and happier to work a bit more independently. We took the workshop as a family of four, including my husband, and it’s a lovely way to spend time together and interesting to see the different concoctions put together. An enjoyable workshop which I would highly recommend.

This was an amazing experience and I can't wait to recommend it to everyone I know. We worked with Julien to make our perfumes and it was fun, informative, we came away with perfumes we love, and we got to practice our French with him (though he was more than happy to speak to us in English). He was also great with all the kids in the workshop and had stickers for them to decorate their own perfume bottles, etc. A really once in a life time experience-- and, we loved that Molinard will keep your recipe on file so you can re-order your perfume for the rest of your life if you want to. Should I have taken more fluid? One teacher was too less for 8 Person with two languages..

A great experience for all those who enjoy u quiet experiences on a holiday. Molinard was very welcoming and accommodating. We got late for our appointment as were driving from Nice and they accommodated us in the next slot. About the experience: the activity is an hour long where you are educated on the layers used in a perfume and then given a chance to shortlist the fragrances out of 90 something fragrances. Once you have shortlisted the smells you like the process of making your own perfume begins. At the end you get a certificate and a 50 ml bottle. They also save your formula in case you would like to order anytime in the next 30 years. A must for all those visiting the French Riviera.

Beautiful building and settings, it was spacious inside and well presented. Booking online and checking in was easy. The staff understood english. We did the perfume creation workshop and i would recommend this experience to friends. The choice of fragrances was vast and the final bottle and packaging was very pretty. The things that could of been better is that the host could of provided more guidance with regards to the blends we were choosing and giving us more recommendations as to what essences went with what. The final fragrances only lasts on the skin for an hour at the most, I would pay more if there was an eau de parfum choice where it would last longer on the skin.

I have always been interested in the world of fragrance and how a perfume is created so was looking forward to this experience booked at the last minute together with my daughter. We both really enjoyed this, and it has given me a deeper understanding of scents and the different notes of a perfume. My only disappointment was that we didn’t get that much in the way of interaction with the ‘nose/assistant’. I would have liked some suggestions to help me choose which scent goes with another or if I have made a good choice or not. But overall the main constraint was the time. It could have done with being a longer session of perhaps 90 mins as opposed to 60. But we were happy with our assistant and came away with perfumes we created ourselves which will serve as a lovely reminder of our visit to Grasse.

It was a beautiful experience and it looks easy on the beginning. But there are so many different bottels where you can choose from and some of them you will like and others not. It was nice to do it together with a friend and to make your own special perfume. After it you can always order your own perfume due the website. It was so much fun learning about Molinard (I'm a new fan, their perfume line is quite elegant) ... But the reason I took a bus from Cannes to go to this cute village was for the workshop. I ended up in my own class, which was a welcome surprise. I will warn you that it can be daunting in front of all those scents ... I didn't fully grasp the suggestion to not smell all of them, if I know for sure I won't like a smell I shouldn't try it. My nose got overstimulated so by the end it was hard to smell anything. But the guide was so wonderful and I trusted her to get me through the process so I'd end up with something I liked. She was a good listener and patient and asked the right questions to narrow down my scent preferences. I thought it was a unique experience and the bottle of perfume you end up with is quite large. Totally worth the price.

This was an absolutely fantastic experience and I would love to go back and try it again if I am ever in the area. This small workshop was difficult to find if you are arriving by train at Gare de Grasse. But once you find it the perfume masters were very informative and helpful when crafting your own perfume and the tour guides were very informative. All around a great experience.

We were 4 friends doing the one hour workshop. It really sped by as you need to smell 90 items if you don’t already know what you like. I would have liked to spend more time honing the amount of each scent to add to get the smell I preferred. But it was great fun, just rushed!

My husband thought of and arranged this unique appointment mid-May during our trip throughout Provence. Met with Justin who was simply lovely to learn all about customizing your perfect one of a kind perfume from testing of about 100 scents that you respond well to. He was highly knowledgable, patient, and easy to understand and comprehend his shared knowledge from years of perfume making expertise. Follow his steps and he won't let you go wrong. I have to say I LOVE my new custom perfume. I think my husband enjoyed watching the learning, narrowing down, and then the assembly process equally as much as I enjoy getting compliments from friends and coworkers who admire and inquire about my new scent I got to take home. I'll certainly order more of my new scent that they now have on file for me in years to come. Would return and do this all over again without hesitation. This experience and fun memory is worth much more than the price of admission. GO!

This is the second time I attended this workshop at Molinard with Gabi and I must say it is a unique creative experience. You are provided with a vast range of quality materials, and guidance from the perfumeur but also, you get the chance to let your creativity fly. The perfume I created is absolutely wearable and compares to those on the high street. They also keep your formula so that you can reorder later. Have a nosy around in the shop afterwards, Molinard has some real gems to offer!

After taking a fascinating tour of the Molinard factory, a friend and I arrived at the perfume-mixing lab for our hour long workshop. Our instructor was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. She explained the process of mixing scents together to form a perfume with top notes, heart notes and base notes. I am generally not someone who wears much perfume, but at the end of the workshop we all came away with a beautiful glass, spray bottle of our own personal scent. I like it so much, I am actually wearing it nearly every day. It was great fun and I’d recommend it to anyone interested in something different from the ordinary. There were even men mixing scents during my workshop!

In fact the whole Molinard experience was! we booked it online above 12 hours in advance and had no idea what to expect. Melanie was so knowledgeable and helpful. We loved every minute of it. This was a 60th birthday present to myself and it was worth every centime. My already high expectations were exceeded. The range we were offered was beyond extensive and Mélaine our workshop leader guided us through to the process with patience and good humour. Her knowledge and expertise allowed us make a genuinely worthwhile product and my daughter and I were giddy with the whole experience. I would highly recommend this as a family, individual or even hen do activity. Afterwards we took the tour and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. For me it is the second time to do the L'Atelier de Parfum Workshop and it's always a pleasure to come to MOLINARD. For the creation of 50ml eau the parfum and a 1h workshop with introduction in the world of parfum the price value of €69 is more than fair. Despite the workshop, the store in the MOLINARD condo is really a shopping-paradise. I love the products! Not only the perfumes are HEAVENLY, but I like the 24 beauty collection too - the hydration creme is just AMAZING! Would recommend a visit for shopping and OF COURSE a workshop to experience the production of a perfume. Everything is easily to book online. See you next year!

i felt very good supported by monsieur Julien. the essences were very good in their Variety. i like my perfume very much and the best of it is !!!! , that i can order it again. and so will i do soon. a difficulty was to recognise the right amount of essence in the Pipette. i tried to be carefully but it was hard to see the mark of 1/2/3 ml. also i regret that i did not write down the formule of my perfume. on my diplome there is only the Name of the essences. i hope when i reorder it, i will get the formule and can give it a Name. all in all, i am very satisfied about the experience and when i come once more to Grasse, i will make it again and all my Friends, i hope, will do it also

It was a wonderful experience to make my own Parfum. I had no idea but while trying I found a great one for me. It was very interesting to get to know the details and differences of the essences. Therefore I would wish more time to get more information before making the own Parfum to be not so under stress while finding and preparing it. Maybe a little seminar of 15 minutes before the workshop would minimize the questions and time stress which occurred. I would recommend this experience to everyone who is interested in good Parfum!

I knew nothing about perfume, but the staffs' explanation was good and simple, so I enjoyed the time there! I was not supposed to try all the scents, but I did by curiosity! While on a three day trip to Nice, I made it my mission to visit Grasse (the perfume capital of the world). In my research about Grasse I found that I would be able to make my own perfume (Dream Come True.) I went forward with booking online with Molinard due to its open availability although it was the most expensive among the other perfume houses I researched. Once there it was a bit unorganized with where to exactly check in for the class but once I was seated at the class every thing went smoothly. I took my perfume making very seriously and the instructor while thorough was often pulled in other directions to lead other classes that were going on at the same time or translate. I had a good experience here however I would have appreciated a more personalized experience for the price I paid.
