Canyoning in Côte d'Azur - by Esterel Cote d'Azur

There are easily dozens of reasons why people practice canyoning and among these, we’ll never underline enough its power to take us away from our daily routine with its deadlines, duties, and all the rest. The level of intensity at which canyoning enthusiasts immerse themselves in this sport is what literally makes them take a break from themselves sometimes without even realizing it, at least not right away.

Inside the very heart of nature, you get the privilege of exploring sites of rare beauty (and we become what we absorb!) sliding through its veins as a rush of adrenaline rushes through yours and connecting at the same time with friends or new acquaintances who are witnessing the same magic you are experiencing. A million words wouldn’t do!

What we want to present to you is a selected array of guided tours at affordable prices allowing you to go canyoning here in Cote d’Azur and more specifically across the gorges of Loup, Vesubie, Audin, or Barbaira. These are fascinating sites near Verdon but slightly more secluded and you can easily check their exact location by accessing the map on the right.

Loup: nestled in the picturesque Loup Gorge, this canyoning site offers thrilling descents amidst rugged cliffs and crystal-clear pools. Located in the heart of the French Riviera, adventurers can enjoy the beauty of the Mediterranean landscape while tackling exciting rapids and natural water slides.

Level of difficulty: Easy

Vesubie surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Mercantour National Park, the Vesubie Canyon provides an unforgettable canyoning experience. With its towering granite walls and lush vegetation, this site offers both challenging obstacles and serene natural beauty in the heart of the French Alps.

Level of difficulty: easy (Cramassouri), medium (Bollene)

Audin: hidden away in the remote wilderness of the Southern French Alps, Audin Canyon offers adventurers a rugged and untamed canyoning experience. Cascading waterfalls, deep pools, and narrow gorges await those who dare to explore this pristine and lesser-known gem of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

Barbaira is located near the border between Italy and France, offering canyoning enthusiasts a unique opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes of both countries while enjoying their adventurous pursuits.

Level of difficulty: medium
