Description
Forum Iulii was created between 49 and 44 BC by Julius Caesar in the heart of a natural bay. When it became a Roman colony under Emperor Augustus, the city took off with the development of an important port and the construction of many colossal buildings. Today it is one of the cities in France with the most various Roman monuments.
